Candlelight Restorative Yoga and Reiki

Crista Rose, RYT-300

6:30 pm to 8:30 pm

Join Crista Rose for this special class that combines the peaceful relaxation of restorative yoga

with the healing benefits of reiki. This class goes deeper into restorative poses allowing

students to relax fully. Essential oils and other calming fragrances may be used.

We will move slowly through poses that will encourage our body (and mind) to slow down and

become open to passive stretching. During this restorative yoga class, there will be minimal

movement. Students can expect to be holding gentle poses for a length of time using the

support of props. This is a practice of deep relaxation that emphasizes the meditative elements

of yoga – the union of body and mind.

The calming and openness of restorative yoga perfectly primes the body to experience Reiki

healing. Reiki therapy is based on an eastern belief that vital energy flows through and around

us.

This class is a cooling practice. Please dress warm and comfortable. Don’t forget to bring any

special items, including an extra blanket.

For your comfort, you will need:

– yoga mat

– 2-3 blankets (or beach towels)

– 2 blocks

– bolster or firm pillow

– Optional items: socks, eye pillow, sweater, bottle of water

**This is a special event, not included in studio membership**
