SUMMARY:CONTENTMENT FROM WITHIN
DESCRIPTION:a Virtual Event with TARA (BECKY) ESCHENROEDER \nWhat better way to celebrate Valentines Day than a nurturing practice all focused on cultivating self love and contentment? \nHow much time do you spend moving towards where you want to be versus being content with where you are?  Where can you create space on your life?  What would that space allow you to let in? What do you cling to (mentally/physically)?  How could letting go of this allow you to let yourself live more fully and deeply? \nExplore these questions and perhaps begin to work towards answers as you join Tara (Becky) for two hours of exploring the philosophy behind Santosha\, the second of the five Niyamas.  Navigate towards the contentment that exists within (no matter what life may have to offer) as we partake in journaling and discussion and flow through a Vinyasa practice.  This will be followed by various practices that encourage finding that place of true acceptance and contentment\, including progressive relaxation\, visualization\, and yoga nidra.

SUMMARY:Nimble Knees with Cat Matlock
DESCRIPTION:Knee pain got you worried?  Does it hurt when you go down the stairs?  Does it hurt when you go up hills?  Is your knee swelling?\nThe mistake lots of folks make with knee pain is that they assume one of the following: \n\nI’m getting old and it’s normal for knees to start to hurt.  \nMy cartilage must be gone.\nI probably need a knee replacement.  I don’t want to do that so I’m just going to stop running (or doing yoga\, or… insert other physical activity that you love) so I can avoid that surgery.\n\nDon’t make those mistakes! \nI know knee pain can be scary because if your knees don’t work well\, it affects every single aspect of your life. \nWhat I’ve Learned:\nWhat I’ve learned over the last nearly 30 years working with people in their bodies is that we tend to blame the joint and often miss the muscular and soft tissue causes of pain.  I’ve also learned is that pain in a joint is more often than not caused by imbalanced pull on the joint caused by muscle tension.  I witness every week in my work is people getting themselves out of pain in their joints by releasing the muscle tension and restoring balance to the system.  I’ve seen people completely avoid surgery thousands of times.  Literally.  Not everyone does\, sometimes surgery is necessary.  Yet\, why not see if you’re one of those that doesn’t need it? \nIn this Workshop:\nIn this workshop you will learn the 4 main muscle groups which lead to knee pain.  You will gain skill in finding tension in those groups and releasing it.  You will leave with significantly less pain and swelling in your knee.  Some will finish this workshop with no pain at all! \nYou’re going to need just a couple of simple tools for this work: a foam roller and a tennis ball or ball the size of a tennis ball.  That’s it! \nThere are simple steps you can take to address knee pain.  Why not see if these simple steps are all you need to have Nimble Knees? \nAll registrants will have access to this workshop for 72 hours! \nJoin us and find out.

SUMMARY:Steady as We Go
DESCRIPTION:5 Week Live Stream Yoga and Embodied Wisdom Series As We Navigate These Time of Change\nwith Raphaela Fritz \nWhen times are unfamiliar and challenging I easily fall back into ways of being and patterns of thought that do not support my highest potential. We are more resilient than we are aware of and capable of learning\, healing\, growing\, and evolving.   Even in the middle of a global pandemic. Coming together to share time\, story\, and our practices ignites the strength and resiliency of the human spirit. \nIf you’re looking to weave meaning and healing into your yoga practice while being supported by a group during your own journey as we all navigate these unprecedented times\, then please join us!\nThis offering is suitable for All Levels. Participants will be sent Raphaela’s playlists for each class as well as complementary practices and reflection questions to carry you through the week. \nWeekly Break Down:\nPreparing The Vessel: Create space within the body and open up to the growing capacity we have within while focusing on opening the front\, back\, and sides of the body and reconnecting to the natural pulse of the breath. Opening and fortifying the vessel allows us to hold more space for ourselves\, our families\, and each other during this time. \nLove Is Stronger Than Fear: Tapping into our radiant vulnerability and freeing tension in the upper back\, shoulders\, chest\, and spiritual heart. Open up to a love that is hidden behind the veils of fear and unease and dive into it together…it’s in there waiting underneath the obstacles and stress \nSteady Eye Of The Storm: In the midst of what is seemingly unpredictable and chaotic exists a still\, present\, focused\, strong\, and steady center. In this well rounded\, full-bodied\, potent sequence we will connect to the unwavering still point within and feel the power and magnitude of all that surrounds you. \nRelease The Unnecessary: Find balance and deep peace in this class by focusing on twists as they contain the innate ability to know what you need at any given moment. When feeling anxious and stressed\, we will find decompression or when feeling sad\, low\, and frozen we will become elevated. The organs\, glands\, muscles\, and tissues will be rinsed out so we can return to our balanced state. \nOpen Hips\, Anchored Spirit: Often when uncertainty\, chaos\, and stress appear our bodies\, emotions\, and energy responds by becoming “lifted”. In this practice we will focus on the hips\, low belly\, back\, and legs to align\, open\, and release resulting in a sense of grounded\, secured ease in our nervous system\, body\, and daily lives. \nThe requested financial exchange is $108 for the series.

SUMMARY:LIVE STREAM: Free Your Shoulders
DESCRIPTION:Workshop with Cat Matlock \nGot shoulder pain?  Weakness? Shoulder bursitis?  Radiating pain from the shoulder down to the hand?  Ready to carry things again?  Lift your kid? Sleep without shoulder pain?\nAbout Cat Matlock\nI’m Cat Matlock of FreeBody Therapeutics and I’ve been a trigger point massage therapist for 28 years.  I have worked with thousands of people.  And over those years shoulder problems are among the top reasons people come to see us at my clinic.    \nAre you in Pain?\nPeople come in and they can’t lift their arm out to the side without terrible pain.  They clutch their shoulders and\, often with tears\, tell me about how they can’t sleep at night because the pain wakes them.  And they’re tired.  Or they have a terrible radiating pain\, or tingling\, that starts in the shoulder and runs down the back of the arm and into the outer hand\, maybe even the pinky.  Or they have a terrible radiating pain\, or tingling\, that starts in the front of the shoulder and runs down the biceps into the hand\, maybe even the thumb and first two fingers.  And it wakes them up at night.   And they’re tired. \nThey just want to brush their hair\, or hook their bra\, or lift their child or grandchild\, or open a dang jar without pain.  And they don’t want surgery.  But they don’t know what to do and their physical therapy or other therapies helped some (or not at all) but didn’t take them all the way to being out of pain and fully functional again. \nIf any of this describes you then this workshop might be just the thing for you. \nWhat to Expect:\nWhen we’re done\, you’ll breathe more fully\, feel less pain\, move more freely\, and be empowered with skills and tools to continue your journey of healing in the right direction. \nFirst\, you’re going to learn where these issues actually begin and where the tension (trigger points) actually live that are causing your pain (because it’s not where you think it is!) \nThen you’ll learn the steps to release the tension in the muscles and connective tissues\, using balls\, targeted lengthening and strengthening\, and breathing practices to open the body from the inside. \nYou will have access to the recorded class for 3 days.  You will also receive an eBook helping you to understand shoulder pain and dysfunction\, the muscles involved\, the postures that might have gotten you here\, and pain referral pattern maps so you can finally understand where your pain is actually coming from.  Yep.  All of that.  PLUS the 2.5 hour workshop\, for only $35.   \nI hope you’ll join us. \nI want to help you. \nAnd there’s no better time than right now \n\nTools Needed (view link for more details):\n\ntwo tennis balls in a sock or yoga tune up balls in tote\nyoga block (or large book)\na soft ball – logo ball or centre ball\nrecovery round or tennis ball or the like\n\n**Do not let the tools discourage you\, if you do not have them\, we can help.  Reach out and we will help find a way for you to get the tools you need!**
