SUMMARY:Kirtan with Mantra Mandala (Donation based)
DESCRIPTION:Sing your way to joy and peace! \nKirtan is a sweet meditative practice of chanting mantras and divine names. Join your voice with the group as we together experience the healing power of bhakti yoga\, the yoga of love and devotion. \nNo experience is necessary. Kirtan is perfect for first-timers because of its call-and-response format: the leader sings a simple phrase\, then the group responds by singing the same phrase back. \nMantra Mandala is a kirtan band based in Asheville\, North Carolina. The band was formed in 2023 by a group of friends drawn together by a love of sacred chanting\, yoga\, and community building. \nMantra Mandala features Jeremy Staum (vocals\, harmonium)\, Eli McNamara (vocals\, guitar\, percussion)\, Shikha Johnson (vocals\, percussion) and Timothy Burgin (percussion). The band draws inspiration from the rich lineage of kirtan and bhakti yoga\, infusing traditional chants with modern harmonies and arrangements\, covering hits of Western kirtan\, and writing original mantra music. Together they weave melody\, rhythm\, and harmony to create an immersive sound that invites listeners into a journey of meditative bliss and devotion. \nThe band’s name\, Mantra Mandala\, represents the intention behind their music. Mantra and mandala are both meditation tools. Mantra is the repetition of sacred sounds. Mandala is a geometric design that represents the wholeness of the Self. The band’s music is like a mandala formed of mantras\, transporting listeners into the state of connectedness that is yoga. \n  \nPre-registration is appreciated (but not required) to make our check in process smoother \n\nDonation based $0-$20 \nThis event occurs monthly.

SUMMARY:Full Moon Circle with Sierra Hollister: Yoga + Ritual (in person or virtual)
DESCRIPTION:Date: Wednesday\,August 30th 7:00-9:00pm \nJoin Sierra for a full moon yoga class that will take you on a journey. Whether you prefer to attend in-person or virtually\, this class promises to be an illuminating experience. \nJust as the moon influences the tides\, its waxing and waning hold the key to rhythm and empowerment in our lives. By surrendering to the moon’s energy and harmonizing our movements and consciousness\, we tap into the innate wisdom within us\, residing in our bones and soul. \nThis profound wisdom can be likened to a permaculture system\, as Ayurveda refers to it as cellular memory. While our cells are constantly renewing\, there exists a genetic thread of DNA that carries our lineage and ancestral stories. They continue to live on within us\, along with the memories of a time when we were deeply connected to the natural cycles of seasons\, moons\, and sun. Rediscovering our inner source allows us to awaken from the illusion that keeps us feeling disconnected. \nIn acknowledgement of the power of these cycles and the moon’s consistent invitation to return to our essence\, Sierra offers the opportunity to gather during each Dark Moon and Full Moon. Each gathering includes the ritual of creating an altar\, as well as yoga\, breathwork\, meditation\, and gong practices. These inclusive gatherings are open to all individuals\, regardless of gender identification\, who are seeking to rediscover their path. \nThe cost for attending moon classes is on a sliding scale\, $25-$35

In this approach to yoga\, individuals rest in postures for 3-5 minutes as they allow the muscles to completely release and let go under the weight of gravity. By releasing their engagement we target the deeper tissues of the body where chronic stress and tension tend to be held. This is a practice that invites both the mind and body to settle as the nervous system finds balance\, thus allowing one’s entire being to soften into a more fully embodied experience of the moment. Individuals walk away feeling lighter\, more open\, and more connected to their truest nature.

SUMMARY:Full Moon Circle with Sierra Hollister: Yoga + Ritual (in person or virtual)
DESCRIPTION:Date: Sunday July 2nd 7-9pm \nJoin Sierra for a full moon yoga class that will take you on a journey.

SUMMARY:[INDOOR/VIRTUAL] Full Moon Circle: Yoga and Ritual to Find Your Way Back with Sierra
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, June 3rd   7:00-9:00pm \nJoin Sierra [IN PERSON] or [VIRTUAL] for moon yoga class. \n\nJust as the moon powerfully controls the tides\, the moon’s waxing and waning offers the key to rhythm and power in our own lives. When we surrender to the moon and align our movement and consciousness\, we are reunited with the innate wisdom in our bones\, in our soul.\n\nI think of this wisdom as a permaculture of sorts\, Ayurveda references it as cellular memory. Although our cells are in perpetual renewal\, there is the genetic thread of DNA that holds our lineage\, our ancestors. They live on in us\, as do the stories of when we lived much more in tune with the cycles of nature\, of season\, of moon and sun. To find our way back to the source\, within ourselves\, is to awaken from the dream that kept us separate.\n\nIn recognition of the power of these cycles and the way back in that the moon offers us\, again and again\, over and over~ Sierra will offer the opportunity to gather\, each Dark Moon and each Full Moon. Each gathering will offer the ritual of creating an altar\, yoga\, breathwork\, meditation and gong. These gatherings are open to anyone\, regardless of gender identification\, who seeks to find their way back.\n\n\nAll moon classes are sliding scale\, $25-$35.

SUMMARY:[INDOOR/VIRTUAL] New Moon Circle: Yoga and Ritual to Find Your Way Back with Sierra
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, May 20th   7:00-9:00pm \nJoin Sierra [IN PERSON] or [VIRTUAL] for moon yoga class.

\n  \nPre-registration is appreciated (but not required) to make our check in process smoother \n\n  \nDonation based $0-$20 \nThis event occurs monthly.
