Karen Hardison Karen is passionate about helping others heal themselves. She enjoys sharing yogic practices as well as sharing massage therapy and energy healing as a nationally certified massage therapist and body-worker. From an early age, Karen was fortunate to receive training in the arts of dance and gymnastics. These practices helped her develop focus, creativity, flexibility and balance and led to her interest in yoga asana while attending the University of South Carolina from 1989-1993. Though initially draw to yogic practice for physical reasons of maintaining flexibility and increasing strength and muscle tone, Karen became more interested in yogic meditation and pranayama (breathing practice) during the pregnancy and birth of her son in 1995. Since that time Karen has practiced a variety of styles of hatha yoga including Anusara, Ashtanga, Bikram, Iyengar, Kundalini and Yin yoga. Karen has completed a 200 hour yoga teacher certification at Yandara Yoga Institute, a Yoga Alliance registered school. Karen encourages all of her students to connect deeply with themselves and to flow and grow at their own pace. Karen offers well-rounded, balanced classes that offer a variety of benefits for all levels of practitioners. She welcomes all seekers of peace and health.
